Homosexuality as a whole has been and is still a very controversial topic globally. There are many different kinds of discussions about the LGBT community, such as gays and lesbians being parents. Some critics tend to believe that homosexual parenting is bad for kids, as if a person’s sexuality determines whether or not they are a good parent.. There is no definite proof that being homosexual makes you a good or bad parent. So, there is no way of being one-hundred percent sure that homosexual parenting results in gender role confusion, psychological harm, or a child being homosexual themselves. For example, a lesbian couple can let one of their brothers, uncles, or fathers teach their son how to shave, how to be a gentleman, how to play sports, and much more. There are some children who admit to being confused about the roles of men and women because of living in a home with two parents of the same sex, and there are also children who live in a home with two parents of the opposite sex from one another and they are still confused. For example, a young boy is gay might pay more attention to what his mom is doing because that’s what interests him. He may see her sewing and wants to learn how to make a dress. Does this means he has confused gender roles? Maybe to society. Does this mean he is gay? Maybe or maybe not.
